Fiorentina chief Sandro Mencucci has heaped praise on coach Vincenzo Montella for this season's progress.
The Viola now sit in fourth place on the Serie A table.
"It's a good time for us, objectively being fourth is wonderful because it changes the whole team. This position is certainly nice to be in, but we must keep our feet on the ground," Mencucci said.
"The director of this has been [Vincenzo] Montella, also Prade and Masia, but Montella is the true director, he is really good, he is very well prepared as are his staff, I hope he can stay here with us to win something.
"Can we get to Europe? When you are fourth then yes, but there are so many games to go and many competitive teams like Milan behind us, who occupy positions they are not meant to be in, also Roma.
"Do we need a striker? I disagree. If we are fourth then that means the team is doing well."
