Fiorentina sports chief Eduardo Macia has warned fans Stevan Jovetic is likely to be sold this season. It emerged yesterday in Florence that Manchester City had secured an option on the Montenegro international, with claims an end-of-season deal has already been agreed.
Macia, formerly chief scout at Liverpool, told Todomercadoweb: "Jovetic? It's going to be very difficult to keep him in Fiorentina. He is a great player, who eventually will play for another club. To us his contribution on the field is similar to that of Steven Gerrard at Liverpool.
"This summer we decided that Jovetic was not to be put on the market and he understood this perfectly, despite the offer of Juventus."
