Fiorentina sports chief Pantaleo Corvino has explained why Arturo Lupoli won't be allowed to leave on-loan this season.

The former Arsenal striker was left off of Fiorentina's UEFA Cup squad list, but Corvino insists: "He's young and must grow. However, we want him to grow at home even if it means he won't play as often as he would if we had allowed him to leave on-loan."
