Fiorentina sporting director Carlos Freitas insists there's been no solid offer from Chelsea for Marcos Alonso.
Freitas also opened the door to re-signing Stevan Jovetic from Inter Milan.
“At the moment he's (Alonso) a Fiorentina player," Freitas explained at Carlos Salcedo and Sebastian Cristoforo's presentation.
“So far no club has come to ask for our best players."
Jovetic is also believed to be close to a return to the Viola, and Freitas gave an update on his situation.
“Could he sacrifice to come here? In modern life we all have to be prepared to make sacrifices. Let's see what this negotiation brings, everything will be clear in 48 hours.
“We want to defend our best players and strengthen the team, taking into account the financial balance of the club.
“We'd like to keep our best players and make the Coach [Paulo Sousa] happy.
“As things stand the best are staying but, as I said, I want to remember that the financial balance of the club must meet the balance of the squad."
