Fiorentina sports chief Pantaleo Corvino is preparing an early offer for Sampdoria captain Angelo Palombo.
La Nazione says Corvino intends to steal a march on Serie A rivals by making a bid for the midfielder well before the summer market opens.
Samp chief Beppe Marotta is adamant Palombo is not for sale, with AC Milan and Juventus also keen.
