Fiorentina sports chief Pantaleo Corvino is in Brazil for talks over Palmeiras goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri.
Controcampo says Corvino hope to close the signing of Cavalieri as a potential replacement for Sebastien Frey, with Fiorentina concerned the Frenchman will leave for AC Milan in the summer.
Palmeiras are seeking £3.5 million for the Brazilian keeper.
