Fiorentina sports chief Pantaleo Corvino says they face a battle to keep the current squad together.

With no Champions League football and coach Cesare Prandelli departing, Fiorentina face a huge task keeping hold of their best players.

Corvino said: "Keeping this group together would be a major achievement, but this does not mean I will not try to improve it. We will assess market opportunities, but of course I already know where we need to strengthen.

"One thing must be clear, Fiorentina will only sign players which can guarantee a leap in quality, not just reserves."
