Fiorentina are chasing a deal for Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini.

SportMediaset says Fiorentina have enquired about Gabbiadini's situation, with a view to bringing him back to Serie A.

However, the Italy international will take some persuading to quit St Mary's.

Last month, agent Silvio Pagliari said: "The future of Gabbiadini? We will continue the Premier League experience.

"He is young and I do not think there are any possibilities for his return.

"But in the market, everything can happen even if the relationship is strong with Southampton."
