Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella expects Mario Gomez to return to action next month.

The striker is working his way back from a knee injury.

"Mario Gomez will almost certainly be back after the break for international duty. He is a player who is beyond the norm, so we hope he gets back soon," said Montella.

"At the same time, we have the current Capocannoniere Giuseppe Rossi, so the team is doing very well even without him."
