Fiorentina have opened talks with Atletico Madrid for winger Maxi Rodriguez.
La Nazione says Fiorentina are keen to bring the World Cup star to Italy this summer after being convinced of the Argentine's fitness in preseason.
Maxi's current £1 million salary fits under Fiorentina's wage ceiling and preliminary discussions have already taken place between the two clubs.
