Fiorentina have assured midfielder Adem Ljajic of a new contract.

Ljajic is waiting to hear from the club about new terms.

"We are preparing a great team for next season and getting ready now because the transfer market has to be planned out," declared general manager Sandro Mencucci.

"Our objective is to strengthen the squad, not to change it. We have an excellent rapport with Ljajic's agent and there are no problems on the horizon. We will soon reach an agreement that satisfies both parties."
