Fiorentina attacker Stevan Jovetic admits he gave Manchester City zero encouragement in the final days of the market. City asked for Jovetic during their deal for Matija Nastasic.

"It was easy, I stopped the negotiation. When they came forward strongly I had already decided to stay in Florence," shrugged Jovetic.

"There is a release clause in my contract, but I've never considered using it."
