Fiorentina confident keeping Man Utd target Jovetic

Fiorentina are confident of holding onto striker Stevan Jovetic.

Jovetic has attracted interest from Europe's biggest clubs, most notably Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, after scoring three goals in two Champions League games.

Asked about his future, Viola sports chief Pantaleo Corvino replied: "It reassures me when I hear him speak because he is determined to be here. He is very well. He doesn't have many doubts and I am happy.

"I see him being protected and becoming a standard bearer for this club like so many champions have been in the past."

Corvino also revealed: "His mother told me that as a boy he watched videos of Batistuta and so he understood that he could have more of a chance than at Real and Milan who were also looking at him together with me."
