Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that finishing ahead of Arsenal in Premier League is not his motivation.
Spurs moved ahead of their North London rivals following the latest round of league games and have a realistic chance of finishing ahead of them for the first time since the 1994-95 season.
But Pochettino is not basing a successful season on that achievement as he sets his sights on something bigger.
"[Finishing above Arsenal is] not my principal motivation," the Argentine said.
"I can feel now it is very important for our supporters and all people that love Tottenham to be above them because the reality is that they are our sworn enemy and you can feel that.
"But for me, it is important to meet our goals and not think too much about our opponents."
"We are the most important people and we need to keep on our own way.
"It is not important what Arsenal do, or Manchester City or Leicester do."
