Promising Real Salt Lake striker Robbie Findley is unsure about what he wants to do with the next phase of his career. The 25-year old USA international is out of contract at the end of the year and is reportedly interested in trying his luck overseas.
Findley, who scored just five goals this season after leading the club to the 2009 MLS Cup, admits he is still considering his future and will sift through everything with the club before making a decision.
"I'm going to digest all the stuff that's happened this year and sit down and figure all that out when the time comes," Findley told mlssoccer.com. "I'm always willing to hear what Jason (Kreis) and general manager (Garth Lagerwey) have to say, so I'm sure we'll all sit down and talk, and figure stuff out."
Head coach Kreis admits he is no closer to learning just what Findley wants at this point in time but believes he is better suited to remaining at the club.
"I tried to give him all the reasons why I think it's best if he stays here, and that's my opinion," Kreis said. "I think he should stay here. But he gets to make his own decisions, and I'm not sure which way he's going to go, I honestly don't."
