Colorado Rapids Major League Soccer team have confirmed a new sponsorship agreement with Transamerica, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The deal will run for the next two seasons and see Transamerica logos appear on the team's kit, starting with Saturday's home game against New York City FC at Dick's Sporting Good Park in Commerce City.
No financial details were released, but the sponsorship agreement was brokered by Denver-based agency Impression Sports & Entertainment.
"We are truly grateful and excited to announce this new global partnership with Transamerica," said Tim Hinchley, the president of the Rapids.
"Transamerica has wonderful history with an iconic brand that is poised to make a significant impact in our club, our sport, our league and here in Colorado."
Transamerica has over 19.5 million customers in the United States. The Rapids deal is intended to 'cement Colorado as a developing centre' for the financial services firm.
"We are a company with a history of helping individuals and families today as well as tomorrow," said Blake Bostwick, chief marketing officer of Transamerica's investments and retirements division.
"Soccer is a great fit for Transamerica as we recognise the role sports play in all our lives."
