FINAL WHISTLE: Wigan 0-2 Man City

Manchester City shrugged off their slow start to the season with a vital 2-0 away win over Wigan Athletic on Sunday.

City opened the scoring in the 43rd minute when Carlos Tevez slipped in to lob the ball over an advancing Ali Al Habsi after a long Joe Hart goalkick before Yaya Toure grabbed his first goal for the club in the 70th minute when he stabbed home a Tevez cross.
