Fulham have once again netted a late goal to force a 2-2 draw, this time with Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
The Cottagers experienced the same fate last week against Manchester United and for the second week in a row, conceded a costly own goal that has again denied them their first win of the season.
Blackpool: 2 (John Panstil (og) 71', Luke Varney 76') Fulham: 2 (Bobby Zamora 35', Dickson Etuhu 87')
Venue: Bloomfield Road - Blackpool, Lancashire Crowd: 15,529 Referee: Michael Oliver Yellow cards:BL - David Vaughan 68' FU - nil
The Seasiders' first home game since returning to the top flight was marred just after the half-hour mark when Fulham's Bobby Zamora headed home powerfully after a good build up which involved Damien Duff and new boy Moussa Dembele. The Belgian's cross was met with intent by Zamora who gave Blackpool keeper Matthew Gilks no chance.
Blackpool actually had more of the play from then on but couldn't manage an equaliser until the 71st minute and it came about with a touch of fortune. Luke Varney struck goalward only to see the ball bounce off Aaron Hughes and into the path of John Pantsil who managed to divert it past his own keeper David Stockdale to make it 1-1.
The home side soon hit the lead when new recruit Varney finished with aplomb after a great pass from Brett Ormerod, the goal sending the Bloomfield Road fans into raptures.
But the dream was soon evaporated when Dickson Etuhu sent a delicate lob over Gilks after being played in by an impressive Dembele to give the Cottagers a third draw from three matches which puts them 11th on the table whilst Blackpool have recorded a win, a loss and a draw and sit in 10th.
