Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has described the emotions that surrounded the Ivory Coast's triumph in the 2015 African Cup of Nations.
The 33-year old strode up to the penalty spot in the final of the AFCON in February with the Elephants needing him to convert in order to keep their hopes of holding the trophy aloft and Toure delivered in his final international appearance.
Toure also felt he had given something back to his late brother Ibrahim who passed away from cancer in June last year.
"The walk was long," he told the Liverpool Echo.
"I was thinking about it a lot. Thanks to God I scored the goal and in my heart now I feel more relaxed.
"I feel like I have given something to my brother. To achieve this on the last day of my international career, it was one of the best days of my life."
