Luis Figo believes Inter Milan will fight to keep hold of Mauro Icardi.
Real Madrid are chasing Icardi's signing this month, with reports of the Argentine having already undergone a preliminary medical before Christmas.
A veteran of Real and Inter, Figo stated: "What's better for Inter? To make more than €100m by selling a player or winning a trophy?
"For Inter, losing that kind of player is never good. I think the leaders will know how to make the right decision."
Real president Florentino Perez is hoping to do business with Inter for a fee of €85-95m.
