Portuguese legend Luis Figo has offered support to Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.
Gomes described his 18 months at Barca as "hell" last week in an interview, admitting he had fears of being confronted by frustrated fans around the city.
Figo, who infamously left Barca for Real Madrid, sympathises with his countryman and says: "Any professional has to endure criticism and praise, it is part of our work and you have to know how to deal with both.
"There are always more delicate moments in your career, there are always ups and downs, the most important thing is to have personality and character to overcome those moments.
"It is not pleasant to go through moments of lack of confidence, but it is more important to have enough personality to face the day tomorrow."
