Inter Milan chief Luis Figo admits the club is now in a rebuilding phase.
The Nerazzurri had a dominant grip on Italian football after Calciopoli with five consecutive Scudetti (including the 2005-06 edition assigned by the courts), but finished in sixth place last season.
"Inter's era has come to an end, but the club is working to get back to being the winning side of previous years," said Figo.
"Scudetto? We'd have to prove that we deserve it. It's true that we miss the Champions League a great deal, both in terms of prestige and income, but we are in the Europa League now and will try to make the most of it."
