Fighter Campbell only getting stronger for Arsenal - Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes forward Joel Campbell is getting better and stronger with every performance for the Gunners.

The Costa Rica international produced his best performance in an Arsenal shirt in the 3-0 Champions League win over former loan club Olympiacos on Wednesday night.

The highlight of his performance was his exquisite assist for Olivier Giroud's second goal of his hat-trick in what Wenger described was a fighting performance.

Wenger was full of praise for the 23-year-old after the win: "A former player for Olympiacos was firstly a former player of Arsenal.

"Joel Campbell is a very good player who has individual skill but what I also like is that he is a real team player who fights for the team.

"On top of that he will get to an age where he becomes a real professional footballer. He came from Costa Rica at a very young age, went to four different clubs on loan and that made him tough.

"Now he gets his chance and he is getting stronger in every game."
