FIGC president Carlo Tavecchio denies sponsor demands influenced the Italy recall for Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.
Balotelli is back in the Azzurri squad this week, which has come as a big surprise given his poor form in England.
There has been speculation that Balotelli's selection only came after pressure from FIGC sponsors, a claim denied by Tavecchio.
"(Italy coach Antonio) Conte says he must evaluate him and will take note how he goes.
"Sponsors? You cannot think of such an influence in sport. It's a complicated decision, but one only made by Conte."
