FIGC President Giancarlo Abete expects AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli to make Italy's World Cup squad.
There are calls for Balotelli to be left at home after last week's TV meltdown.
"I have absolute faith in Cesare Prandelli, even during this evidently difficult moment for the player," Abete told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I think the Coach has all the time and ability necessary to get Balotelli into optimal condition for the World Cup. That is the most important thing, aside from all controversy, as he is an important player for us.
"Let us not forget his two goals against Germany in Euro 2012 and that Balotelli can change a game."
