FIGC president Giancarlo Abete is delaying the Italy debut of Juventus' Brazilian striker Amauri.
"Italy will conclude the World Cup qualifying campaign with the current squad. Amauri's citizenship will certainly arrive after the final games," said the FIGC President.
"It will be the Ministry of the Interior that tells us when the player will receive Italian citizenship, but at the very least it will be October 31 before we get an answer.
"Then Marcello Lippi can make his choices. Naturally the Federation has the utmost appreciation for the Brazilian as a player and as a person."
