FIGC chief Fabbricini: Nothing ruled out regarding Chelsea boss Conte

FIGC chiefs haven't given up on convincing Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to take the Italy job.

The former Juventus coach turned down an approach from FIGC director this week, but there is a feeling a deal can still be done.

“We've stopped at the last thing you know," Roberto Fabbricini told reporters as he entered the Associazione Nazionale Comuni Italiani headquarters.

“[Luigi] Di Biagio is the Coach who will take charge of the next two games, as for the rest [sub-commissioner Alessandro] Costacurta hasn't looked into it further.

“Contacts must be very cautious, we have to be attentive to people who are already under contract, we need diplomacy.

“We're very careful, the profiles are the ones you know about [Conte, Carlo Ancelotti, Roberto Mancini and Claudio Ranieri].

“Conte? He has been reconfirmed, he has a contract for 18 months. We're very attentive to that, but everything is possible.

“We also have to talk to people with concrete interest."
