FIFA president Sepp Blatter will extend a personal invite to the 2010 World Cup to US president Barack Obama.
Blatter will meet with president Obama at the White House early this week and plans to confirm his attendance in person.
"I know there are people around the president who are football fans, and that they will make everything possible in his agenda that the president be at the opening of the World Cup or the final,'' Blatter told The Associated Press.
