French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet is hopeful that Liverpool centre-back Mamadou Sakho could still make the France squad for Euro 2016.
The 26-year-old is currently serving a 30-day suspension after failing UEFA's anti-doping test and could face further sanctions but Le Graet says he will be considered by Didier Deschamps until there are notified further of his situation.
"It's not yet certain," Le Graet said when asked whether Sakho's possible involvement in Euro 2016.
"We have to let the decision of UEFA be taken. At the moment, he can't be selected either if the punishment is confirmed.
"That said, UEFA are going to meet, I hope as quickly as possible, because Didier is naming his squad on the 12th (Thursday).
"So we'll have to wait for UEFA's decision."
