Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra is in hot water with the French Football Federation after a no-holds-barred interview last week.
The former France captain attacked ex-Les Bleus coach Luis Fernández, former Olympique de Marseille manager Rolland Courbis and commentator Pierre Ménès.
"People have a good image of me. Not these bums who want to dirty my name. They must stop lying to the French people," said Evra to Telefoot.
The FFF released a statement earlier this morning:
"After finding that there has not been an attack made against the FFF, the French team, its coach and its players, (chairman) Noël Le Graët and (coach) Didier Deschamps have decided he needs to come and explain certain statements made against some commentators."
