FFA insist Adelaide Utd future not in doubt

Football Federation Australia insist the future of Adelaide United is not in doubt. United's owner Nick Bianco of Bianco Constructions is looking for other investors, but the FFA says the club is not in financial crisis nor in doubt for next season.

The Federation's Bonita Mersiades says the club is in the process of being restructured.

"There's no doubt about Adelaide United's future," she said.

"One of the options available is that FFA could temporarily take over the licence as we did for Perth Glory when a similar situation arose."

"But that is only one option that we could look at."

"There's no crisis at Adelaide United at all. What it is about is broadening the capital base of the club to ensure its future and we're working with them to look at what the best option is to do that."
