Feyenoord striker Nicolai Jorgensen has admitted to being annoyed after his January transfer to Newcastle United did not go ahead.
Magpies manager Rafa Benitez was rumoured to have been interested in signing Jorgensen as he looked to add a new forward to his squad in January in order to guide the Toon Army away from the relegation zone.
In the end, the former Liverpool boss signed Islam Slimani on loan from Leicester
"It was a little annoying," Jorgensen told Tips Bladet. "Of course it is always nice to know that there is a club that will pay so much money for one, so of course it gave me confidence, but at the same time a little bit of sigh.
"It is of course a big dream for me to end up in such a league."
