Feyenoord signing Jordy Clasie admits he regrets his move to Southampton.
Clasie has returned to Feyenoord on-loan from Saints three years after leaving the Eredivisie giants.
"I became a footballer to play and it is this I have especially missed in recent years. The first year at Southampton, under Ronald Koeman who made me, that was okay. The following season, when Koeman left, a drama: three Premier League games and a pair for the cup and in the Europa League.
"Then you have to think about it," said Clasie.
"I have to conclude that abroad is not for me. But is that something that you should be ashamed of? I am most happy when I play."
He added: "Of course, financially it's much better abroad and if you play then and you're lucky, it's fantastic."
