Feyenoord loanee Guidetti eyeing Man City first team

John Guidetti is hoping to take his experiences from his loan at Feyenoord Rotterdam and become a regular first team player for Manchester City.

The 19-year old has scored 14 goals in 13 Eredivisie appearances since joining Feyenoord on loan and after netting a hat-trick in the 4-2 win over Ajax yesterday is looking to eventually return to City as a top quality striker.

"If I return to City, then of course I hope I get a chance," he told Goal.com.

"I don't think Manchester City would bring me back if they don't think I have a shot at first team football. I just want to play football. I don't want to sit on the bench or end up in the stands. I want to play in the first XI at City.

"I am more of a central striker and that's where I want to play. However, I'd obviously rather play from the left than sit on the bench. But I think [manager] Roberto Mancini knows I'm a forward, and that's where I'm at my best."
