Feyenoord are in talks for Watford winger Steven Berghuis.

The Dutchman is expected to move to Rotterdam on-loan.

The Watford Observer says new head coach Walter Mazzarri has played a 3-5-2 formation during pre-season and this system could be a factor behind the proposed loan move.

Berghuis does not look suited to taking a defensive role in the wing-back position and the winger may not fit into Mazzarri's plans.

Reports in the Dutch media claim Berghuis, who did not feature in Watford's goalless draw against Anzhi Makhachkala on Saturday, is set to move to Feyenoord on a season-long loan.
