Feyenoord skipper Ron Vlaar admits he wants a move to Aston Villa.
The 27-year-old defender is hoping he can make the switch Villa this summer after talks with the club, although he would be sad to depart Feyenoord.
"I cannot say too much," Vlaar told De Telegraaf.
"On Sunday I was in Birmingham and I spoke with coach Paul Lambert and I got a very positive impression. Aston Villa just want me.
"I have talked to our technical director Martin van Geel and I told him I liked the idea of moving to them.
"A move to Aston Villa would be a dream come true, I look forward to playing in the Premier League, but I will miss Feyenoord.
"I feel at home in De Kuip, the club has had a lot of ups and downs, but there is still a warm feeling here.
"The stadium, the fans, my team-mates and staff. If the deal goes through, I miss them."
