Feyenoord is fighting to keep hold of youngster Melayro Bogarde.

The defender is a top target for Chelsea - and Feyenoord management admit they're battling to convince him to resist a move to London.

"Will Melayro leave for Chelsea? We also hear the rumours," Feyenoord head of youth education Richard Grootscholten told Algemeen Dagblad. "The situation is like this: we can only register players when they are 16 years old."

"We have presented a variety of talents with a contract. Only Melayro has not signed yet.

"He is now busy, we have to wait. Although we need to have clarity quickly, because for Feyenoord Under-19 we have to know whether Melayro stays with us or not."
