Feyenoord chief Martin van Geel admits they've pulled back from their co-operation with Manchester City.
City now focus mainly on NAC Breda as their Dutch partners and Van Geel admits Feyenoord made a conscious decision to step back.
"John Guidetti was an absolute thriller, but we did not want to expand into a partnership," he said.
"With many single-player loans you do not build anything and we want to create value on the field.
"We want to do it with own youth and purchases that fit within Feyenoord's budget. "
