Feyenoord boss expecting different Man Utd at Old Trafford

Feyenoord manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst says it will be a different game between his side and Manchester United on Thursday.

The Dutch club take on the Red Devils at Old Trafford in the fifth group fixture of the Europa League with Jose Mourinho's side in need of a victory.

A defeat will see United eliminated from Europe's second tier club competition and former Arsenal and Barcelona player van Bronckhorst suggests that prospect will make it a tricky affair for his outfit.

Feyenoord defeated United 1-0 at De Kuip in September to kickstart their Group A campaign.

"In De Kuip we have seen that it is possible to get a good result against Manchester United," Van Bronckhorst said at his pre-match press conference.

"Now their approach will be different to then, because United must now win. That makes this a very different game than in Rotterdam.

"I've played a few times at Old Trafford and know that the atmosphere here is fantastic.

"These are special matches. It's only the third time that Feyenoord and United play each other in the last 20 years. For my players this game is a way to compete with the very top players."
