The Daily Mail reports that Southampton are discussing Feyenoord's Jordy Clasie and Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye ahead of the inevitable departure of Morgan Schneiderlin.

Clasie has previously worked with manager Ronald Koeman at Feyenoord prior to the Dutch manager moving to the south coast club.

Defensive midfielder Gueye, 25, is also on Southampton's radar as the Saints prepare for life without Schneiderlin who is set to leave St Mary's for either Arsenal or Manchester United this summer.
