Ciro Ferrara believes he would still be coach of Juventus if the current front office were in place.
Many fans have blamed then-President Jean-Claude Blanc and director of sport Alessio Secco for poor transfer decisions.
"If I had Beppe Marotta and Andrea Agnelli in charge, perhaps things would've gone differently with Juventus," Ferrara told RAI Radio 1.
"On the other hand, maybe with them I would never have become the Juve Coach at all.
"I have nothing to say against the club that employed me for many years, first as a player, then in charge of the youth academy and finally as a tactician.
"It was a wonderful experience that ended badly. Besides, we should not judge it for the last six months. In all I was with Juve for 16 years in various roles."
