The veteran striker admits he is valuing his time on the pitch as his contract winds down to the end of the season.
"Whenever I have the opportunity to play, more than start, to score and win I am happy. I think I'm in the third selection in the league and obviously it's not something I'm used to.
"But as I always say, I have to fight and work to try to play the next game from the beginning," said Torres.
"You have to be prepared when it's your turn. Every game for me with the club is special, because it may be the last or the last goal, I hope not, but that is what I face. With the illusion of being in the game in the next match and if not, to continue working. It's no use looking for excuses."
