Porto midfielder Fernando has cut short his holiday to complete his move to Manchester City.
The Daily Express says Fernando, 26, has returned to Portugal and is waiting for the nod from Porto to fly to Manchester to complete his move.
His agent Antonio Araujo said: "Fernando is in the city of Porto and is waiting for FC Porto to tell him the transfer documents are completed and he can travel immediately."
City are believed to have agreed an initial £12million fee for the defensive midfielder, rising to £16million with add-ons.
