Fernandinho urges calm with Man City countryman Gabriel Jesus

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho is hoping there is a calmness surrounding his teammate Gabriel Jesus.

The 19-year-old striker has become an instant hit at City since arriving from Palmeiras last month, scoring three goals in his past two outings, including a match-winning brace against Swansea City today.

Fellow Brazilian Fernandinho has urged clam so early in Jesus' City career but is also hoping that the youngster can continue show the strong form he has produced in his first few outings in the Premier League.

"He has been here just for a month and he scored two goals today," he told City TV.

"Another goal last game. Everybody is happy with that, I'm happy as well.

"But I think we have to keep calm a little bit. He is young, and we hope he can keep the same level at least until the end of the season.

"For this transition, his new life, first time in Europe; it's not easy. But we will help him to be a top player, a great player, and I think for the beginning he has shown his quality.

"My hope is that he can keep that for a long time."
