Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho praised his side's fighting qualities in the wake of Wednesday night's Capital One Cup triumph over Everton.
City trailed 2-1 going into the semi-final second leg but pulled out a 3-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium after going a goal down to Ross Barkley's 18th-minute strike.
Brazil international Fernandinho replied for City six minutes later before Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero completed the comeback in the second half in what was a spirited comeback from the home side.
"(Showing fighting qualities) was the best way to win the game after conceding the goal in the first half, and we turned it around with three goals at the end and we defended amazingly," he told Sky Sports.
"It was important (to equalise quickly) because in the second half we only had to score one goal to force extra time, but we scored two beautiful goals and we are in the final now."
City will now meet Liverpool in the League Cup decider at Wembley on February 28.
