Fernandes welcomes Rigg arrival at QPR

QPR owner Tony Fernandes is happy with the football staff they're assembling.

The most recent off-field acquisition was new technical director Mike Rigg, who worked alongside manager Mark Hughes at Manchester City and Blackburn, and Fernandes believes he could prove invaluable.

"I think he is a critical appointment," Fernandes added. "All through the game (a 1-0 win over Stoke) he had so much to talk to me about. That gives me a lot of encouragement that we are making the right moves for the future."
