QPR chairman Tony Fernandes says the club's finances can handle relegation.
Fernandes insisted relegation will not plunge his big-spending club into financial meltdown.
He said: "We have been made out to be not sensible, stupid, and guys on TV have torn me apart - but we are not stupid."
Fernandes also claimed some of his players do not show enough passion in the blue and white hoops.
He said: "I was naive in thinking that players were like me, giving it 150 per cent.
"I know players who feel hurt when they lose - but there are others who aren't bothered."
