New QPR majority shareholder Tony Fernandes says the club will look to bring in some new players before the transfer window closes.
But the Malaysian entrepreneur insists that they will not throw money around willy-nilly as manager Neil Warnock continues to identify his main targets.
"If we bring in someone who we think will make a huge difference but is above what we're mentally thinking about then maybe (we'll consider it)," he said.
"I think it's important for the manager to get the right tools. He's a sensible guy and I think he's built a very good team here anyway.
"There is a good nucleus here let's not forget that. If we can strengthen it with three or four players then that'd be great."
