Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson does not see Ashley Young's arrival at Old Trafford meaning Nani will be forced on the sidelines. The Portuguese winger's future was called into question after he did not play in the Champions League final defeat to Barcelona at the end of last season.
"Nani did really well the whole of last season, but (Antonio) Valencia came back and his form was so good it was difficult to leave him out of the team," admitted Ferguson.
"Nani is a good player and his personality is improving. We will be challenging next season and will play a lot of games.
"Nani was unfortunate not to be picked for the Champions League final, but he is still young and he is maturing all the time."
