Ferguson will last at least a few more years says ex-Man Utd striker Yorke

Sir Alex Ferguson will remain as manager of Manchester United for at least a couple of years according to Dwight Yorke.

The 40-year old spent about four years under the Scottish tactician during his time at Old Trafford and regularly returns to the club to go about earning his coaching badges for the next phase of his football life.

Often the question is posed of how long Ferguson will last in his role but Yorke is of the belief that his old boss will continue to oversee the project he has been working on since 1986.

"That's been going on since I was there which was 14 or 15 years ago but he's still there," Yorke told tribalfootball.com regarding the yearly rumours about Fergie.

"I've been very fortunate to be given an insight as to what happens around the club, I still go up there on a regular basis. I get to see him first-hand.

"He's very passionate about the place, there are upgrades being done throughout Carrington (training ground) and the stadium which he is very much a focal point of. That will go on for another couple of years so he will be around for the next couple of years at least.

"He will certainly want to win the Premier League again and until he does that, maybe one more crack at the Champions League, and see that young squad to about the age of 25 where they really start to become top quality players."
